Like craft brewing transformed beer, Gandalf brings the same care and precision to cannabis extract.

"Build philosophy" — hand-built, small production, the four names behind it, Napkin Design ApS. This is where the "About" content lives per the sitemap. Not yet drafted.
HOW IT WORKS · FOUR STEPS

"Engineering notes" — pump choice, PSU behaviour, safety circuit topology, filter rationale. Deeper technical section for the audience that reads specs closely. Not yet drafted.

"What's in the box / what you provide" — honest list of prerequisites: solvent, raw material, basic lab handling, ventilation. Not yet drafted.

"Comparison frame" — short, non-defensive paragraph on how Gandalf differs from rotary evaporators, closed-loop hydrocarbon systems, and DIY rigs. Not yet drafted.
Full-spectrum extract. The plant, concentrated.
Full-spectrum extract. The plant, concentrated.
What comes in decides what comes out.
The result is a full-spectrum cannabis extract — not a distillate, not an isolate. Every compound present in the starting material is carried through into the extract: cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and the minor compounds that together produce the entourage effect.
The character of the extract is determined entirely by the source material. High-THC flower produces a high-THC extract with the same terpene profile as the plant. A CBD-rich cultivar produces a CBD-dominant extract. A rare or carefully bred variety produces an extract with the same rare profile. Gandalf concentrates the plant — it does not change it.
The extract can be used directly in vape cartridges, as a base for edibles, or as a full-spectrum tincture. Used without decarboxylation, it retains the full carboxylated profile. Decarboxylated prior to use, it delivers the full activated profile.
A note on the name: The extract produced by Gandalf is widely known as cannabis oil — a term broadly understood but technically imprecise, since the extract contains no added oils or fats. We use cannabis extract as the primary descriptor for accuracy, and cannabis oil where clarity for a general audience matters more than precision. Both terms refer to the same product.
Available now — limited beta units.
A small number of Gandalf systems are available for purchase in the current beta phase.
Beta units are produced in-house with the same build quality as the production version, and sold under a structured purchase agreement that gives both the buyer and the development team full clarity on terms, support, and expectations.
What the beta offer includes
- Hardware at beta price: €3,490 excl. VAT (production price: €4,490)
- Service and Maintenance Agreement (SMA): Included in the first year
- Software updates: All firmware and protocol updates as released
- Extraction protocol library: Full library of tested extraction recipes
- Direct access: To the development team for support, feedback, and diagnostics
- CE marking: In progress — beta units sold under documented pre-CE terms
Beta buyer terms (summary): Beta units are sold for personal or small-scale production use with IPA as the only approved solvent. A standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The purchase agreement sets out all terms explicitly, including solvent restrictions, liability, and CE marking status. Full agreement available on request.
Units are limited. First-come, first-served.
